E veryone in the photo is wearing black and white except the person who is handing out a box of flowers. they are probably not even a guest at the wedding even, so I do think you're probably right about the woman having been requested to wear black or white.  Ok, so I had the same reaction. Vogue says that it's a generational/cultural thing. Some people care, typically older generations, some people don't care, typically younger people.  Older folks in my family complain about me wearing black at all, let alone to a wedding. Maybe I don't want to do multiple loads of laundry, ever think about that, Margaret?? I think it’s considered too funeral to wear full black. I used to have a couple of staple black and white floral dresses to wear to weddings. Nice enough without being fancy.
